Getaway Theatre joined our team in the 23/24 season after winning her Irish point to point. Getaway wasted no time in making an impression when winning her mares maiden hurdle at Stratford first time up. She continued the season in fine form finishing 2nd to a listed mare and running a solid race in the Haydock mares listed hurdle.
Getaway then went chasing in the 24/25 season however after a few health issues including the need for a breathing op during the first half of the season got away from her and wasn't what we wanted through no fault of her own. She bounced back with a bang with an impressive win at Chepstow on her last run of the season on her preferred deep ground.
25/26 got of to a good start with solid placed runs at Warwick before the ground went against her and races were very difficult to come by on suitably soft or heavy going.
The plan for the 26/27 season is very simple. To run over staying trips on soft / heavy ground. She is ultra tough and is a mare that can be bred after her racing career is over.
